A Sound Golf Swing
Having a great golf swing is all about good rotation. Throughout the swing you need to keep the club in front of your body. To do this in perfect motion, rotate the club head, hand, and chest in synchronization. Visualize an imaginary dot on the club head, on the hands and mid chest region. When you start to swing, imagine that you are following those three dots at the same rate of rotation.
Golf Tip : Solid Ball Striking
The pleasure of a solid strike is an experience that many golfers never experience in their lifetime. Because of impact they resolve to a poor strike or a skimming blow to the golf ball and this results in a weak slice that travels a limited distance. The open clubface is the main cause that reduces the power in the shots. The heel end of the club way steals the power and leads the ball at impact. Golf players have to understand the basics of Golfing and realize the importance of releasing the body and golf club at impact through it. The golfer should try and aim to get the toe end of the clubface to essentially feel as though it "wraps around" the golf ball. Instead of resulting in glancing blows of a slice type, it leads to powerful draws.
Ball Striking
For a solid release, a golfer can use the drills that have been described below. When on the course, begin with the usual club setup. Next spread your hands apart on the grip by approximately 4 inches and make around four to five swing without hitting the ball. This way you can feel the roll of the arms, as the right arm will compulsorily roll over to the left. And then you will experience the toe end of the clubface "covering around" the ball, after which you can take your regular grip and make a few more swings and you will feel the same vibrations.
The other drill that can be used for a solid strike is positioning a second golf ball around six inches ahead of the ball that will be struck and make sure that it is in the projected target line. As you proceed to hit the first ball imagine the toe of the golf club is out to chase the second ball, and the second ball will be struck with the clubface toe end. Utilize your entire body, arms and legs to hit the strike. Always keep in mind that it is not only the arms that release the club but also the right side of the body that plays a role in the strike.
These drills and tips will help in a firm release and will give the golfer a solid ball strike.
